About the role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is a leading food company in Africa, known for brands like Golden Penny and Goldenvita. We are looking for an Electrician to join our B2C team in Ibadan, Oyo. Your main goal is to maintain electrical and automation equipment to ensure it lasts as long as possible and to prevent any downtime caused by electrical issues.
Responsibilities
- Report all electrical and automation issues to the Plant Electrical & Automation Supervisor.
- Respond to and resolve electrical and automation problems within the plant.
- Install and maintain electrical systems and machinery to avoid power failures and interruptions.
- Complete the Electrical and Automation logbook at the end of each shift.
- Check electrical parameters of equipment, such as current, both when loaded and unloaded.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks according to the approved schedule and fill out checklists promptly.
- Inspect Electrical/Automation Control Panels and heating panels in all units as per the schedule.
- Clean all electrical panels, instruments, and equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, production, or the FMCG sector.
- 5 credits in WAEC, NABTEB, or Trade Test 1.
- OND is an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Organized and able to manage materials efficiently.
