Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is a leading foods company in Africa, known for brands like Golden Penny Flour and Golden Pasta. We are looking for a Lubrication Technician to join our team in Ibadan, Oyo. This role focuses on maintaining plant equipment reliability by ensuring correct lubricant selection, application, and storage.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled lubrication rounds on plant equipment according to the preventive maintenance programme.
- Identify the correct lubricant type, grade, and quantity using OEM manuals and lubrication charts.
- Take oil samples for laboratory analysis to support condition-based lubrication decisions.
- Inspect equipment for leaks, contamination, or abnormal wear and report findings.
- Maintain accurate lubrication records and update tasks in the CMMS/EAM system.
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of lubricants to prevent contamination.
- Support root cause investigations where lubrication contributes to equipment failure.
Requirements
- OND or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of three years’ cognate experience, preferably in manufacturing, production, or FMCG.
- Relevant certifications in Total Production Management (TPM) and ISO standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
