Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is a leading foods company in Africa, known for brands like Golden Penny and Goldenvita. We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Ibadan, Oyo. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, constructing, installing, and repairing equipment to ensure optimum productivity.

Responsibilities

• Calculate material quantities for job orders and submit requisitions to supervisors.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
• Fabricate jobs according to design specifications and operate angle grinders for preparation.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces to identify flaws.
• Align components using calipers and rulers, and clamp pieces as needed.
• Repair machinery by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Set up components for welding, including cutting materials to match measurements.

Requirements

• OND, NABTEB, C&G, or WAEC TECH in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of two (2) years of cognate experience, preferably in manufacturing, production, or FMCG.
• Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized and able to manage materials efficiently.
