About the role
Talabat, a leading local delivery platform under the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Specialist Real Estate & Construction in Doha. This full-time position involves managing the entire lifecycle of site operations, from scouting new locations and negotiating leases to overseeing construction projects. You will serve as the primary link between Talabat and its landlords, ensuring that real estate solutions meet operational needs while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Construction & Engineering: Lead construction projects from design to delivery, interpreting blueprints and coordinating with contractors to meet timelines and budgets.
- Tendering & Negotiation: Manage tender processes for materials and services, analyze market pricing, and negotiate contracts to secure the best value.
- Deal Structuring: Lead commercial negotiations with landlords and brokers to finalize favorable lease terms and Letters of Intent (LOIs).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams to draft agreements, secure budget approvals, and manage vendor onboarding.
- Location Scouting: Conduct market research to identify high-potential sites for new dark kitchens and build a pipeline of prospective locations.
Requirements
- Strong background in construction management, civil engineering, or facilities engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud kitchen operations, F&B logistics, or similar high-volume food service facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tender processes, analyze market pricing, and negotiate competitive contracts.
- Expert-level proficiency in reading architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, and construction specifications.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously.
- Basic experience with commercial real estate negotiations is a plus.
