About the role
Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) is a reputable non-governmental organization promoting healthcare, education, and economic opportunities across Nigeria. Headquartered in Uyo with a corporate office in Abuja, ECEWS operates in 17 states and partners with major global funders including the Global Fund, USAID, and the World Bank. We are currently seeking two Senior Finance Officers to join the BRIDGE project on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Deliver against approved milestone plans and quarterly performance targets for HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH services.
- Support statutory compliance, including tax and pension remittances.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Monitor budgets and prepare financial reports.
- Manage financial transactions and reporting in line with organizational policy.
- Process payments, retirements, and reimbursements.
Requirements
- A first degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A professional accounting qualification is an advantage.
- At least six years of experience in financial management.
- Strong knowledge of donor financial compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience on USG-funded projects is preferred.
