About the role
GIG Logistics, a leading technology-driven logistics company in Nigeria, is looking for a commercially driven Deputy General Manager (DGM) for Central & Regional Operations. This role involves providing strategic leadership across the operational network to drive revenue growth, cost efficiency, and people productivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a workforce of over 300 employees across multiple locations.
- Drive strong Human Capital Management, including workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
- Hold Regional, Center, and Operational Managers accountable for KPIs and business results.
- Lead center expansion, including the assessment, establishment, and optimization of new locations.
- Monitor operational, financial, and customer experience KPIs to ensure timely corrective action.
- Drive sales, retail performance, and market expansion across assigned regions.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, retail, or supply chain.
- Proven experience managing a workforce of at least 300 employees across multiple sites.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth.
- Demonstrated experience in cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline. An MBA is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
