About the role
NewGlobe is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee school operations in the North-West region of Nigeria, specifically based in Katsina. In this position, you will be accountable for the success of a designated territory of schools. You will work closely with Schools Supervisors to ensure they operate effectively and that educational targets are met. This role requires a strong presence in the field, as you will travel daily to various communities to support school heads and administrators.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a team of Schools Supervisors to ensure high performance and instructional leadership.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager to translate field feedback into effective training content and processes.
- Monitor operational and instructional benchmarks to ensure all schools in your territory meet their targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and parents to support educational initiatives.
- Provide continuous coaching and mentoring to school heads to improve classroom management and student retention.
- Travel daily to schools across the assigned region to ensure consistent communication and support.
Requirements
- A degree in Education is mandatory.
- At least 5 years of professional work experience.
- Extensive experience in community-based work, field management, and program management.
- Proven ability to lead teams using a hands-on approach and drive results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building relationships with government and community officials.
- Passion for education, particularly in low-cost or public schooling environments.
- Comfort working in low-income communities and sensitivity towards cultural and religious diversity.
- Willingness to travel daily and have tough conversations when necessary to achieve business goals.
