About the role
Slum2school Africa is a volunteer-driven developmental organization founded in 2012. We aim to transform society by empowering disadvantaged children to realize their full potential. We provide educational scholarships, create learning spaces, and offer psychosocial support for vulnerable children in slums and indigent communities.
We are looking for an HR and Admin Executive to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Executive Director (ED). This role serves as a key liaison across teams, ensuring the ED’s office runs efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Manage the ED’s calendar, appointments, travel plans, and meeting logistics. Screen and prioritize communications, prepare briefing materials, and draft high-level correspondence.
- Administrative Support: Organize filing systems, track project deadlines, coordinate team and board meetings, and manage internal approvals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support donor and partner communications, liaise with key partners, board members, and volunteers, and coordinate strategic meetings.
- Strategic and Operational Support: Represent the ED at internal meetings when delegated, work with departments to ensure alignment, monitor project progress, and provide research support for decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an executive support role, preferably within the non-profit or development sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and project management tools.
- High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage complex schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field.
