About the role
Slum2school Africa is a volunteer-driven developmental organization founded in 2012. Our vision is to transform society by empowering disadvantaged children to realize their full potential. We provide educational scholarships, create learning spaces, and offer psychosocial support for vulnerable children in slums and indigent communities.
We are recruiting an Executive Assistant (Creative Media and Content) to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Executive Director (ED). This role serves as a key liaison across teams, ensuring the ED’s office runs efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Manage the ED’s calendar, appointments, and travel plans. Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and minutes for meetings. Draft high-level correspondence and presentations while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Administrative Support: Organize the ED’s filing systems (digital and physical). Coordinate team and board meetings. Track project deadlines and manage internal approvals on behalf of the ED.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate strategic meetings and support donor and partner communications. Liaise with key partners, board members, and volunteers.
- Strategic Support: Provide research and analysis to aid executive decision-making. Represent the ED at internal meetings when delegated and monitor progress on organizational priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an executive support role, preferably within the non-profit or development sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to work under pressure.
- High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and project management tools.
