About the role
NewGlobe is hiring a Director, Policy and Partnerships to lead large-scale, government-led education transformation across new locations in North-West Nigeria. Based in Katsina, you will serve as the primary point of contact between the program, the government, and other key stakeholders. You will take ownership of existing relationships and ensure close collaboration and on-time execution of the program.
Responsibilities
- Oversee government engagement, training, and stakeholder meetings to support program goals.
- Manage and supervise Policy and Partnerships program staff focused on program management.
- Coordinate with multiple government departments and education ecosystem stakeholders, including teacher unions.
- Establish governance committees and maintain regular meeting schedules.
- Ensure consistent weekly and monthly reporting to government partners.
- Map key government officials and develop management plans for each.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive reforms in education delivery for underserved communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with superior academic performance.
- Over 4 years of experience in government program delivery, account management, or engagement management.
- In-depth experience managing complex relationships and accounts in multi-stakeholder programs.
- Previous experience working with a Ministry of Education or similar government delivery programs (e.g., health or ICT) is preferred.
- Strong diplomatic skills, discretion, and the ability to act as an on-the-record spokesperson.
- High emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills.
