About the role
Ultimum Limited is a fast-growing beverage manufacturing company and a Nigerian-based subsidiary of Union Camerounaise de Brasseries. We are looking for a Utilities Operator to join our team in Abia. This full-time position focuses on the continuous and efficient operation of utility services, including water, CO2, steam, electrical systems, compressed air, cooling plants, and effluent treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality checks on plants, such as CO2 purity, water pH, and boiler conductivity, and record data in HACCP log sheets.
- Ensure product quality, hygiene, and process conditions comply with set standards.
- Execute autonomous maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and inspection.
- Collaborate with other departments and external contractors to coordinate utility operations.
- Safely collect, store, and dose chemicals in compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in planned maintenance activities and improvement teams to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and system performance in SAP PM and offline logbooks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production and maintenance roles, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems, including water, gas, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand simple engineering manuals.
- NABTEB or WAEC Technical qualification.
- Proven experience in Utilities operations and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Basic use of MS Office and SAP PM documentation.
