About the scholarship

The University of Rwanda Mastercard Foundation Undergraduate Scholars Program supports academically talented and service-oriented youth in Rwanda and across Africa. This initiative helps young people overcome social and economic barriers to access quality higher education. The program aims to develop leadership potential and facilitate a smooth transition into dignified work.

Applications are open for Cohort 5 for the 2026-2027 academic year. Students will study at one of seven colleges across six campuses in Rwanda, including Nyarugenge, Huye, Rukara, Busogo, Nyagatare, and Rwamagana.
