Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable organization for a Production Machine Operator in Port Harcourt, Rivers. This full-time position focuses on operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and consistent manufacturing processes. The role involves setting up machines, monitoring production output, conducting routine quality checks, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and calibrate machines to meet production specifications.
- Operate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, downtime, and materials used.
- Conduct routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure smooth and continuous production operations.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report machine faults, breakdowns, or operational abnormalities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Requirements
- Physical fitness to perform assigned production duties.
- Basic understanding of machine operation, production processes, and equipment safety.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends when required.
- Ability to identify machine faults and report technical issues promptly.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic record-keeping and communication skills.
- Previous experience operating production or industrial machinery is an advantage.
- OND, technical certificate, or relevant vocational qualification.
