About the role
Emmix Global Limited is hiring a skilled and reliable Plumber to support a furniture manufacturing company in Abuja (FCT). This full-time position focuses on maintaining water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems across the factory, workshops, and office spaces. You will ensure all plumbing infrastructure remains functional, safe, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, taps, sinks, toilets, showers, water tanks, and pumps.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify leaks, pressure issues, or potential faults before they become major problems.
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies and breakdowns.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce water leaks and system failures.
- Maintain records of repairs, maintenance activities, and materials used.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized work and support general facility maintenance.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures and is completed to a neat standard.
Requirements
- 2 – 3 years of experience as a Plumber.
- Technical qualification, apprenticeship, or vocational training in plumbing.
- Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, piping, pumps, and plumbing fixtures.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to maintenance emergencies.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing facility environment.
- Basic knowledge of water pumps and storage systems is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a safety-conscious attitude.
