About the role
Emmix Global Limited is recruiting on behalf of a client that designs, manufactures, and installs high-quality furniture for residential and commercial spaces. We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Furniture Installer to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate installation of furniture and fitted products at various project locations. This is a full-time position based in Abuja (FCT).
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install furniture accurately according to drawings, measurements, and instructions.
- Install hardware such as hinges, drawer runners, handles, brackets, and locks.
- Carry out wall, floor, and ceiling fixing where required for wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, and other products.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure doors, drawers, and moving parts operate correctly.
- Identify potential installation challenges and communicate them to the Production or Project Manager.
- Ensure all necessary tools, fittings, and materials are available before starting work.
- Protect furniture, walls, floors, and other property from damage during installation.
- Inspect installed furniture for alignment, stability, functionality, and overall appearance.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude when working in customers’ homes or offices.
- Maintain and properly store company tools and equipment.
Requirements
- SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in furniture installation, carpentry, cabinetry, joinery, or a related field.
- Ability to accurately read measurements, drawings, and installation specifications.
- Good understanding of levels, alignment, measurements, and fixing methods.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Physically fit and able to lift and handle furniture components safely.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work at customer locations and travel to different installation sites.
- Previous experience installing wardrobes, kitchens, cabinets, fitted furniture, or interior fixtures is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of furniture hardware and fittings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
