About the role
Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is a non-profit organization in Nigeria dedicated to peace and poverty reduction. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Maiduguri, Borno. This full-time role involves managing pharmaceutical supplies, ensuring rational medicine use, and supporting patient care within our health programmes. You will work closely with medical staff to maintain the quality, safety, and availability of medicines in a humanitarian context.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional pharmaceutical services, including accurate dispensing and patient counselling.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, dosage, and potential interactions.
- Manage medicine stock, including inventory records, storage conditions, and stock rotation.
- Support procurement planning, forecasting, and verification of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Monitor rational medicine use and participate in prescription audits.
- Handle pharmacovigilance tasks, such as reporting adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian pharmaceutical laws and organizational quality standards.
- Prepare accurate pharmaceutical reports and maintain documentation for accountability.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and current practising licence with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in dispensing, stock management, and patient counselling.
- Good knowledge of rational medicine use, prescription review, and pharmacovigilance.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or in humanitarian settings is desirable.
