About the role
Chowdeck is a food technology company connecting food vendors and consumers through a delivery hub. They are looking for an Operations Associate to join their strategy and operations team in Benin, Edo. This hybrid role is described as the ‘engine room of the zone,’ focusing on ensuring vendors, riders, and agents are set up for success. It is a fast-paced position that may require varying hours and shifts, offering an opportunity to launch a career in tech and operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first line of response for requests in your assigned zone and route issues to the appropriate owners.
- Monitor dashboards and communication channels to identify and prioritize operational issues.
- Support the operational readiness and performance of riders, vendors, and agents through onboarding, training, and scheduling.
- Manage order exceptions and escalations to ensure timely resolution.
- Handle routine operational queries and escalate sensitive matters to the Assistant Zonal Manager.
- Coordinate operational resources and assets in partnership with zonal leadership.
- Work with the Assistant Zonal Manager to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- A 1st class or 2:1 degree from a reputable university.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
- Clear and confident communication skills with teammates, agents, riders, and vendors.
- A competitive attitude, willingness to learn, and resilience.
