About the role

Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting peace and reducing poverty in Nigeria. We are currently recruiting a qualified and compassionate Nurse Officer to join our team in Maiduguri, Borno. This is a contract position focused on delivering high-quality nursing care to vulnerable and crisis-affected populations. You will work closely with doctors, midwives, and other health professionals to ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered care in a humanitarian setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care, including patient assessment, monitoring, and administration of prescribed medications.
  • Support maternal, newborn, and child health services, including antenatal and postnatal care.
  • Apply strict infection prevention and control measures, including proper waste disposal and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Identify emergency cases and escalate them promptly to medical personnel.
  • Participate in health promotion, patient education, and community outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health team to improve the quality of healthcare services.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc), Registered Nurse (RN), or Registered Midwife (RM) qualification.
  • Valid registration and current practising licence with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional nursing experience in a hospital, health facility, or humanitarian program.
  • Strong clinical documentation skills and knowledge of infection control practices.
  • Experience in conflict-affected or resource-constrained environments is desirable.
  • Commitment to patient safety, ethical conduct, and safeguarding principles.
