About the role
Levitikal Group is a Real Estate and Construction Company based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are hiring a full-time Mechanic to join our team in Victoria Island. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping our construction equipment and heavy-duty vehicles in top working condition to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on construction equipment and vehicles.
- Replace faulty parts and carry out regular servicing.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Follow company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy-duty equipment like excavators, loaders, concrete mixers, cranes, and generators.
- Report significant mechanical problems and suggest solutions.
- Ensure equipment is available and efficient at project sites.
- Inspect engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience maintaining construction or heavy-duty equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and maintenance schedules.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or Technical Vocational Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
