About the role

Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is a non-profit organization in Nigeria dedicated to promoting peace and reducing poverty. We are seeking a Logistics Officer to join our team in Borno. This role is critical for ensuring that our programs are supported by efficient logistics, fleet management, and inventory control. You will work closely with various departments to manage resources, maintain assets, and support field operations in a complex operating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics planning, transportation, and distribution of supplies to field locations.
  • Manage fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, maintenance, fuel records, and driver compliance.
  • Oversee warehouse and inventory management, ensuring accurate stock records, FIFO practices, and regular physical counts.
  • Maintain the organizational asset register, track donor-funded assets, and ensure proper documentation for asset movements.
  • Support procurement by verifying delivered goods, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining supply chain records.
  • Provide logistics support for field activities, training sessions, and program implementation.
  • Prepare regular reports on fleet utilization, inventory levels, and asset status for management and donors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and organizational policies regarding logistics and resource management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in logistics, fleet management, inventory control, or supply chain support.
  • Experience working in conflict-affected areas, emergency response, or complex humanitarian environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for maintaining registers and trackers.
  • Experience with donor-funded asset management and inventory documentation requirements.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and integrity.
  • Experience coordinating vehicle movements, fuel records, and maintenance schedules.
