We are committed to contributing to the economic development of Nigeria and the African continent. We are currently seeking a Lead, Legal Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal protection and services to the Company, its officers, and talents.
- Advise on and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory matters, including statutory meetings, filings, training, policies, and remittances.
- Assess and advise on contract status, legal risks, and liabilities associated with business transactions.
- Stay updated on developments in relevant laws and regulatory policies.
- Conduct legal research to provide solutions for the Company.
- Negotiate, draft, review, and conclude contracts and policy documents on behalf of the Company.
- Provide ongoing counsel on corporate and legal matters, including governance, contracts, property, regulations, taxation, and labour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law and certification from the Nigerian Law School.
- 5-7 years of work experience in a commercial, corporate, and/or regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal contracts.
- Knowledge of the legal, statutory, and regulatory framework.
- Proven expertise in Corporate Law.
- Strong attention to detail and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in legal drafting.
- Experience in aviation is an added advantage.
- MBA, LLM, or professional certification is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
