About the role
First Bank of Nigeria Limited is seeking an Information & Cybersecurity (ICS) Security Standard Officer to join their Information/Cybersecurity risk and governance team. As Nigeria’s largest financial services institution by total assets, FirstBank serves over 10 million customers through more than 750 branches and international subsidiaries. This full-time position is based in Lagos and focuses on developing and enforcing policies aligned with business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain security compliance standards, including ISO27001, PCI DSS, and Cybersecurity regulations.
- Review periodic PCI DSS compliance reports and report on identified gaps for remedial action.
- Develop metrics and monitoring processes to assess the effectiveness of the Bank’s information and cyber security risk management.
- Monitor compliance with Information/Cybersecurity policies, baselines, guidelines, and procedures.
- Manage internal and external security audits.
- Assess threats and vulnerabilities regarding information assets and electronic products to provide risk guidance.
- Plan and coordinate independent Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Tests (VAPT).
Requirements
- Education: First Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Certifications: CISM, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Implementer, ISO27032 Cyber Security Lead Manager, or other relevant Cybersecurity Professional Certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in facilitating and conducting security assessment and compliance related to PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and Cybersecurity Frameworks.
- Knowledge: Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Test Techniques, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Banking structure, and Enterprise security risk management frameworks (ISO27001, PCI DSS, NIST).
- Skills: Self-solution driven, proactive, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, analytical reasoning, and excellent written and oral communication.
