About the role
Slum2school Africa is a volunteer-driven developmental organization founded in 2012. The organization aims to transform society by empowering disadvantaged children to realize their full potential. They provide educational scholarships, create learning spaces, and offer psychosocial support for vulnerable children in slums and indigent communities.
They are currently recruiting for a Head Teacher position in Lagos, Nigeria. Note that the job description provided details responsibilities for an Executive Assistant supporting the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Manage the Executive Director’s calendar, appointments, travel plans, and meeting logistics. Screen and prioritize communications, prepare briefing materials, and draft high-level correspondence.
- Administrative Support: Organize filing systems, track project deadlines, coordinate team and board meetings, and manage internal approvals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with partners, board members, donors, and volunteers. Coordinate strategic meetings and support donor communications.
- Strategic and Operational Support: Provide research and analysis for decision-making, monitor progress on special projects, and represent the Executive Director at internal meetings when delegated.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an executive support role, preferably within the non-profit or development sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and project management tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage complex schedules.
