About the role
UUL United Logistics Nigeria Limited is an international freight forwarding and supply chain management company with operations in Nigeria, China, America, and Italy. We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team in Lagos. This full-time position focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective vehicle operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily fleet operations, including drivers, routes, and vehicle availability.
- Oversee driver dispatch and delivery schedules.
- Investigate accidents, breakdowns, and other incidents to ensure corrective action.
- Control operating costs and report fleet performance to management.
- Plan vehicle deployment, trip schedules, and route assignments.
- Supervise drivers to promote safe and compliant operations.
- Monitor vehicles and drivers using GPS tracking systems.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in fleet or transport management, including managing drivers and commercial vehicles.
- Degree or HND in Transport, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluency in both Hausa and English is mandatory.
- Experience with GPS tracking systems and strong Excel and reporting skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
