The company is currently seeking a Depot Inventory Officer to join its team in Lagos. This is a full-time position focused on maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring smooth operations within the depot.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal stock levels.
- Manage operational and administrative issues professionally to mitigate financial risks.
- Facilitate effective synergy between depots and internal units such as Sales, Transport, Plant, and Head Office.
- Act as an intermediary between daily standard operating procedures and the Sales team to ensure adequate stocking.
- Prevent out-of-stock situations while avoiding overstocking.
- Coordinate with sales, transport, and operational teams to ensure product availability and efficient movement.
- Prepare and submit daily and monthly inventory reports to management.
- Implement and maintain effective record-keeping processes.
- Ensure compliance with depot operational guidelines and safety standards.
- Conduct regular stock assessments and report any discrepancies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory management or related roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
