The Centre for Communication and Social Impact (CCSI) is a Nigerian non-profit, non-governmental organisation incorporated in 2001. It specialises in Social and Behaviour Change (SBC), using evidence-based research to design communication strategies that encourage the adoption of recommended behaviours in health and social development.
CCSI operates across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The organisation states that it has reached over 10 million people and works with more than 4,000 community volunteers. Its work includes providing technical and strategic communication support to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), particularly for risk communication during the COVID-19 pandemic. CCSI also runs capacity-building programmes, such as the Leadership in Strategic Communication Workshop in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs, and produces entertainment-education content, including the TV drama series Newman Street, to address health issues like malaria and family planning.
