About the role
Stockgap Fuels Limited is a leading oil and gas company in Nigeria’s downstream sector, based in Port Harcourt. As part of its expansion into LPG storage and cylinder filling across four strategic regions, the company is seeking an Automation & Instrumentation Operator for its Abuja (FCT) facility. This full-time position within the Plant Maintenance department focuses on monitoring control systems and ensuring safe, efficient filling operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate control-room PLC/SCADA/HMI systems during filling operations.
- Respond promptly to process and safety alarms, including gas leaks, ESD, and pressure/level limits, following standard operating procedures.
- Monitor filling carousel and bulk storage control systems across assigned shifts.
- Maintain accurate shift logs and perform basic calibration verifications.
- Assist with first-line fault troubleshooting.
Requirements
- OND/HND in Electrical/Electronic, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of control room or instrumentation experience in process plant environments.
