About the role
EHA Clinics, a subsidiary of eHealth Africa, is a healthcare network operating across Nigeria. We provide high-quality, technology-enabled services including general consultations, laboratory investigations, and specialized care. We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Laboratory and Diagnostics to join our team in Kano.
In this full-time role, you will deliver first-class laboratory managerial services to support accurate medical diagnoses. You will supervise laboratory staff, assist the Laboratory Manager with international accreditation efforts, and help expand our service areas.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the Lab Information Management System (LIMS) for specimen tracking and reporting.
- Perform business analysis of laboratory operations and drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients.
- Manage External Quality Assurance programs and support the introduction of new technologies.
- Develop and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) to satisfy ISO 15189 accreditation requirements.
- Support HR with the recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of laboratory staff.
- Maintain quality results by running standards, controls, and routine equipment maintenance.
- Manage procurement of tests, consumables, and inventory.
- Draft, review, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare laboratory performance and quality reports for executive review.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a Medical Laboratory, Clinic, or hospital.
- Certification from the Associate of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN).
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Laboratory Science from an accredited university.
- A current practicing license.
- Additional training or experience in molecular diagnostic techniques such as PCR is an added advantage.
