About the role
MDaaS Global operates BeaconHealth Diagnostics, a network of tech-enabled clinics across Nigeria. We are looking for an X-Ray Technician to join our team in Umuahia, Abia. This is a full-time, onsite position within the Clinic Operations department. You will work closely with the Center Manager and Radiographer to ensure safe and efficient X-ray services. The role is ideal for someone early in their imaging career who wants to gain experience in a high-volume diagnostic setting.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, explain procedures in plain language, and ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Assist with patient movement and positioning, including those with limited mobility.
- Set up examination rooms and prepare equipment for X-ray procedures.
- Monitor image quality and adjust settings as directed.
- Apply radiation protection devices and wear appropriate protective clothing.
- Maintain equipment, perform minor repairs, and report faults.
- Enter patient data and imaging sequences accurately into the BeaconOS platform.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as answering calls and filing records.
Requirements
- OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related health science.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a hospital, imaging unit, or diagnostic centre.
- Understanding of radiation safety practices and commitment to protection protocols.
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfer and positioning.
- Computer literacy and comfort with digital record systems.
- Preferred: Experience in high-volume outpatient settings and familiarity with digital radiography.
