Scruples Resource Limited is a premier oil and gas support services provider based in Lagos, Nigeria. We are looking for a Wells Advisor III to join our team on a contract basis. This role is designed for an expert-level professional who can mentor and advise drilling and completion engineers on well planning, design, and operational surveillance. The position requires strong technical expertise in drilling or construction operations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop less-experienced drilling and completion engineers.
  • Provide oversight of drilling programs to ensure consistency across multiple rig lines.
  • Participate in vendor clarifications, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and package acceptance.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and spec deviation requests.
  • Assist in developing commissioning and System Integration Test procedures.
  • Address human factors engineering and safety of personnel and equipment.
  • Interface with business units on logistics, environmental, regulatory, and procurement activities.
  • Lead longer-term team performance improvement initiatives and engineering studies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Extensive experience in Drilling Rig development, including FEED, Detail Design, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferred).
  • Familiarity with industry codes such as API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, and IMO.
  • Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary team environments.
