About the role
New Hope Agric and Tech, also known as New Hope Liuhe, is an agricultural feed manufacturing industry producing chicken, pig, and fish feed. We are looking for a full-time Welder to join our team in Logbara, Ogun State. This position focuses on ensuring all welding work meets quality standards, safety regulations, and operational specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding activities using methods such as arc, MIG/MAG, TIG, and gas welding.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures, frames, pipes, and machine parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication instructions.
- Cut, grind, shape, drill, and prepare metal materials for welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required quality and strength standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
- Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies, including the use of PPE.
- Operate and maintain welding machines, cutting equipment, and grinders.
- Report faulty equipment, material shortages, and job progress to the supervisor.
Requirements
- Experience with various welding techniques including arc, MIG/MAG, TIG, and gas welding.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and hot-work permit procedures.
- Skills in metal fabrication, assembly, and repair.
