About the role
Hilton Worldwide is seeking a Water Treatment Technician to join the team at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. In this position, you will play a key part in maintaining the hotel’s water quality standards and ensuring a safe environment for guests. You will be responsible for analyzing water samples, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform physicochemical analysis on domestic, boiler, chilled, and irrigation water samples.
- Interpret analytical results against regulatory standards and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with water quality requirements set by regulatory bodies.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment and prepare demineralized water for analysis.
- Conduct Legionella monitoring and planned preventive maintenance.
- Prepare laboratory reagents and standardize routine chemicals.
- Manage laboratory inventory and stock taking.
- Maintain clean work areas and keep detailed records for logs and inspections.
Requirements
- BSc or HND in a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in similar roles.
- Knowledge of water balance chemistry and pool operation phases.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
