About the role
Victoria Hotel and Resort is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiter or Waitress to join their dining team in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. As a key point of contact for guests, you will ensure an exceptional dining experience through friendly service, efficient order handling, and detailed menu knowledge. This is a Front of House position reporting to the Restaurant Manager or Shift Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Greet guests, seat them, explain daily specials, and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions.
- Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS software or order pads, and deliver orders promptly with correct presentation.
- Upselling: Recommend food pairings, beverages, and desserts to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintenance: Set up tables with clean linens and silverware, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized dining area in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Payments: Issue accurate bills, process payments via cash, credit cards, or POS apps, and handle change and receipts.
- Teamwork: Communicate with kitchen and bar staff regarding special requests and assist team members with side duties.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma (OND).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
