About the role
Oscar Health is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Technical PMO team in New York City. You will lead a major enterprise data transformation, partnering closely with Data leadership to manage migration from planning through delivery. This individual contributor role reports to the Director of Technical Program Management and focuses on protecting data quality and integrity. The position requires a hybrid schedule with three days in the office per week, including a mandatory Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Own the integrated enterprise data migration plan, defining clear owners, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Scientists to map dependencies and resolve scope or sequencing gaps.
- Anticipate migration risks and drive timely decisions by escalating with clear options and impact assessments.
- Manage data reconciliation, testing, cutover, and rollback plans to ensure operational readiness.
- Provide Data and executive leaders with clear visibility into migration progress and unresolved decisions.
- Contribute to building a strong TPM team by sharing best practices and improving processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical program or project management experience.
- 2+ years of experience using coding languages such as SQL to analyze project performance and risks.
- Experience independently leading complex software development programs across multiple teams.
- Technical fluency in data pipelines, transformation layers, data models, and semantic layers.
- Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous enterprise programs and manage cross-domain dependencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
Pay and benefits
- Base pay: $117,576 – $154,319 per year.
