About the role
Gusto is seeking a Staff Recruiter to join the SpecTech team in San Francisco. You will focus on hiring design talent across Product Design, Design Systems, and other creative areas. This role also requires flexibility to support Product Management and Data hiring needs. The position is hybrid, requiring office presence two to three days per week.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruiting cycles for specialized technical roles, from strategy to offer acceptance.
- Act as a talent advisor to hiring leaders, providing data-backed recommendations on compensation and candidate fit.
- Build and maintain a local design community in the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.
- Develop and share AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve sourcing and market analysis.
- Collaborate with compensation, people partners, and operations teams to streamline the hiring process.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in specialized tech, with a focus on Design.
- Hands-on experience using AI for sourcing, market mapping, and interview preparation.
- Proven ability to partner with executive leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong data fluency to interpret metrics and identify process bottlenecks.
- Experience building always-on talent pipelines and nurturing long-term relationships.
Pay and benefits
- Base salary range of $168,000 to $190,000 for the San Francisco Bay Area.
