About the role
DoorDash is seeking a Solutions Architect to join the New Verticals team. As the first person hired for this position, you will help build the playbook and set the foundation for scaling the Grocery & Retail Services business. You will act as a consultant and key contributor to the sales process, guiding merchants on how to integrate DoorDash’s enterprise SaaS products into their existing infrastructure. This role reports to a Senior Director and is an individual contributor position.
Responsibilities
- Guide merchants on customizing and optimizing their first-party digital shopping experiences.
- Partner with internal teams in product, engineering, sales, and strategy to drive growth.
- Develop roadmaps and identify growth vectors to scale retail and grocery services.
- Anticipate and address technical challenges to ensure successful execution at scale.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years of professional experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or technical GTM roles.
- Strong experience in e-commerce is strongly preferred.
- Ability to articulate complex technical details into clear business requirements.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to create structure in ambiguous environments.
Pay and benefits
- Base salary range: $136,000 – $200,000 USD.
