About the role
Join DoorDash’s Reliability Platform team to build systems that help engineering groups manage service reliability. You will design and operate backend services, orchestration workflows, and self-service platform capabilities. The team focuses on unifying incident management and leveraging agentic AI to improve operational efficiency across all DoorDash brands.
Responsibilities
- Design and build mission-critical backend services and pipelines.
- Develop frameworks to measure Service Level Objective (SLO) compliance across thousands of endpoints.
- Create and maintain an internal SRE Agent that supports incident response and knowledge bases.
- Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) for agentic use of reliability data and tools.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Product organizations to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or backend engineering roles.
- Fluency in Go or a similar programming language.
- Experience with AWS primitives, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Understanding of SRE concepts such as SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.
- Strong platform engineering mindset with a focus on APIs, abstractions, and workflows.
- Willingness to use AI tools for coding, planning, and problem-solving.
Pay and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $130,600 to $192,000. Final pay is determined by skills, experience, and work location. In addition to base salary, the role includes opportunities for equity grants.
