About the role
Accor is seeking a part-time Server to join the team at Binchotan Bar & Grille, located at the Fairmont Orchid resort in Kohala Coast, Hawaii. This position focuses on delivering warm, personal, and detailed service in a luxury, fast-paced environment. The restaurant features traditional northern Japanese grill cuisine, offering guests a unique dining experience that blends Hawaiian and Japanese culinary traditions.
Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Provide unique dining experiences through warm, personal, and detailed service.
- Restaurant Setup: Ensure a positive first impression through detailed cleanliness, set-up, and ambiance control.
- Food & Beverage Knowledge: Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents, preparation methods, and hotel features.
- Sales: Up-sell and promote food and beverage offers to maximize sales revenue.
- Order Management: Pick up and serve food and beverage orders promptly once ready.
- Personalization: Remember individual patron names and preferences to extend personalized service.
- Standards: Ensure all food and beverage are served according to service standards.
- Cleanup: Clear and tidy tables after guest departure as quickly as possible.
- Duties: Perform opening/closing side duties and set tables according to standards.
- Support: Assist other Food & Beverage outlets during peak times or when required.
- Safety: Apply precautions regarding food safety (HACCP) and be well-versed in fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
- Appearance: Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
Requirements
- Guest Focus: Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Language Skills: Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English. Ability to speak other languages is an advantage.
- Teamwork: Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Work Ethic: Detailed, service-oriented, self-motivated, and energetic.
- Compliance: Provide necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance).
- Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.

- Hourly Rate: $16.50 USD + tips.
