About the role
GitLab is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join the Southern EMEA team. In this position, you will act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers in the MEA region. Your primary goal is to help organizations understand how GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets their technical and business needs. You will guide clients through their digital transformation journeys, from initial planning to ongoing monitoring, leveraging your technical expertise and customer empathy.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation processes to demonstrate how GitLab addresses full-lifecycle needs.
- Own the technical evaluation process, including solution design, proofs of value, and workshop design.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape account strategies for new business and expansion.
- Build strong relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders to foster GitLab advocacy.
- Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices to improve ROI.
- Serve as the voice of the customer to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Develop reusable technical collateral and best practice guidance for customers and partners.
Requirements
- Experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles involving solution design and evaluation.
- Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps and CI/CD workflows.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control and collaboration platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts, deployment, security, and operations.
- Ability to lead technical evaluations, contribute to tenders, and design workshops.
- Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
- Fluency in Arabic.
