About the role
Figma’s AI Insights team is looking for a builder with exceptional design skills and deep AI knowledge. You will report to the Director of AI Insights and work on creating internal products that help the team understand customer needs. These tools will improve customer intimacy across the company and inform key business decisions. This is a full-time role based in San Francisco, New York, or remotely in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities where internal products can improve customer understanding.
- Design and build AI-powered tools from concept through launch and adoption.
- Ship early versions and iterate rapidly based on feedback and usage.
- Define quality standards for AI behavior and build evaluations to verify improvements.
- Partner with Research, Design, and Engineering teams to support product adoption.
- Share tools and practices to help other teams make informed decisions.
Requirements
- Strong background in UX or product design with excellent visual and interaction design skills.
- Experience building and shipping impactful products using AI tools.
- Deep AI fluency, including the ability to troubleshoot prompts and integrations.
- Strong product judgment to identify user needs and make tradeoffs on scope and quality.
- Academic background in design or HCI is a plus but not required.
- Experience in customer research or building research platforms is a plus.
Pay and benefits
The annual base salary range is $169,000 to $250,000. Final compensation depends on qualifications, market demands, and work location.
