About the role
GitLab is seeking a Partner Program Manager to transform its ecosystem strategy into effective, repeatable programs. You will own a portfolio of global partner workstreams, including sourcing, services attach, adoption, and renewals. This is a strategic individual contributor position where you will lead through expertise and influence rather than managing direct reports. You will collaborate with various internal teams to launch programs, refine incentives, and connect activities to revenue outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap and execution for global partner programs across Acquire, Commit, and Consume phases.
- Coordinate requirements and risks across Ecosystem Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and regional teams.
- Improve the partner journey from onboarding through activation, co-selling, and expansion.
- Support the design and rollout of partner incentives, including margin, rebates, and market development funds.
- Maintain program guides, eligibility rules, and documentation to ensure compliance and clarity.
- Create playbooks and training materials to drive adoption of new programs.
- Define success measures and partner with Revenue Operations to report on performance consistently.
Requirements
- Experience in partner programs, channel strategy, alliances, or related go-to-market functions.
- A track record of managing complex programs from design through launch and iteration.
- Understanding of partner economics, including incentives, deal registration, and services programs.
- Ability to lead global, cross-functional work without direct authority.
- Analytical judgment to connect program activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- Strong written communication skills to simplify complex commercial concepts.
- Familiarity with SaaS, cloud, DevOps, or AI partner ecosystems is a plus.
