About the role
Join the DashMart Kitchens team at DoorDash in Phoenix, AZ. This position focuses on preparing made-to-order meals for customers using the DoorDash app. You will work within a shared facility, collaborating closely with DashMart partners to ensure a seamless customer experience. As a Kitchen Shift Lead, you will take charge of kitchen execution, leading a team to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned kitchen shifts, ensuring adherence to food preparation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Oversee inventory practices, including FIFO and proper equipment care.
- Ensure all orders are prepared accurately and on time before handoff.
- Lead and delegate tasks to Kitchen Operations Associates and Shift Coordinators.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving kitchen-related operational issues.
- Coach team members on food safety, cleanliness, and professional execution.
- Collaborate with DashMart Shift Leads and Site Leadership to align kitchen and warehouse operations.
- Contribute ideas to improve workflow efficiency and site performance.
Requirements
- Experience in food service, kitchen operations, or grocery leadership.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Willingness to complete or already hold a Food Handler’s Certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, physically active environments.
- Strong attention to detail with high standards for food safety and cleanliness.
