About the role
One Medical is seeking a Float Phlebotomist / Administrative Assistant to join their team in Skokie, Illinois. In this full-time position, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, combining clinical skills with exceptional customer service. You will help transform the healthcare experience by ensuring a welcoming, on-brand environment while supporting the care journey from intake to follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support: Perform venipuncture for patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, as well as EKGs, vitals, vaccines, and other extended scope duties.
- Manage front-of-house duties: Handle check-ins, insurance verification, and maintain the lobby’s appearance and organization.
- Support administrative tasks: Answer patient messages, process billing inquiries, review medical records, and assist providers with clerical duties.
- Maintain lab standards: Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and sterilization of tools.
- Collaborate with the team: Participate in huddles, problem-solving sessions, and use One Medical’s technology suite for daily operations.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist in a non-training environment.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and computer proficiency.
- Attributes: Ability to work in diverse, collaborative teams and adapt quickly to new challenges.
