About the role
One Medical is seeking a Float Medical Receptionist to serve as a key ambassador for patients in our Bethesda, MD office. You will be the first point of contact for members, ensuring a seamless and positive in-office experience. This full-time position involves floating to nearby locations in Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, and Pike & Rose as needed to provide coverage.
Responsibilities
- Patient Support: Manage patient intake, check-ins, check-outs, and same-day schedule management.
- Administrative Tasks: Verify insurance, handle billing inquiries, and manage paperwork.
- Office Maintenance: Perform opening and closing duties, restock supplies, and maintain a clean, on-brand lobby environment.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team huddles, support providers with ad-hoc requests, and use internal tools like Slack, Zoom, and the 1Life EMR system.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in high-touch customer or patient-facing roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven teams.
- Proficiency with computer technology, including typing and navigating multiple software systems simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to change and maintain a forward-thinking perspective under pressure.
Pay and benefits
- Pay: $21.50 per hour based on a full-time schedule (40 hours/week).
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday between 6:30 AM and 7:30 PM.
