About the role
Flexdrive, a subsidiary of Lyft, is hiring a Fleet Operations Lead to manage afternoon shift operations at its Nashville depot. This role is critical for maintaining the safety and performance of autonomous vehicle fleets. You will serve as the primary on-shift leader, bridging operational excellence with rigorous safety standards. The position is fully on-site and requires availability for day shifts between 12:00 PM and 11:00 PM, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Shift Leadership: Oversee depot operations, manage team performance, and coordinate shift handovers to meet fleet availability targets.
- Safety Compliance: Implement safety risk management programs and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and partner-specific EHS standards.
- Incident Response: Lead incident response within a 30-minute SLA, conduct root cause analysis, and submit preliminary reports within 24 hours.
- Training & Quality: Deliver safety training, conduct compliance audits, and analyze safety performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage third-party service providers and coordinate with partner support teams to ensure operational continuity.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in operational management within safety-critical environments (transportation, logistics, automotive, or manufacturing preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in safety management, EHS compliance, or risk management in 24/7 operations.
- Proven track record of leading teams in high-pressure environments while maintaining strict safety standards.
- Strong understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance workflows, and logistics management.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- Candidates must reside in states registered for Flexdrive Services LLC.

- Base pay range: $50,180.00 – $62,730.00, not inclusive of potential equity, bonus, or benefits.
