About the role
Bosch is expanding its semiconductor business in Roseville, California, with a $1.9 billion investment in silicon carbide chip production. This full-time position is an individual contributor role within the engineering team. You will work on-site in a manufacturing facility, focusing on process control, troubleshooting, and yield improvement. The schedule is D shift, Wednesday through Friday, and every other Saturday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Responsibilities
- Resolve production operating problems and troubleshoot process issues.
- Disposition discrepant material reports (DMR) and analyze production data to identify trends.
- Communicate results from experiments and tool qualifications.
- Develop operator training and create specifications for best known practices.
- Analyze test and inspection yields to improve quality and conduct failure analysis when needed.
- Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Develop systems to reduce cycle time, improve throughput, and lower costs.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. Equivalent education and directly related work experience may be accepted.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong skills in reading, understanding, and interpreting technical documents and manuals.
- Good oral and written communication skills with a willingness to work as a team.
- Flexibility and strong self-initiative.
- Preferred: Experience working in a cleanroom environment with semiconductor products and related manufacturing equipment.

- Base salary range: $26.50-$32.00 per hour.
