About the role
Oscar Health is looking for a Director, Pharmacy Operations Strategy & Integration to join the Pharmacy team in Tempe, Arizona. This position reports to the SVP of Pharmacy and focuses on driving operational excellence. You will translate strategic priorities into actionable improvements in workflows, vendor capabilities, and cross-functional programs. The goal is to enhance affordability, health outcomes, and the experience for both members and providers. This is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office per week, with Thursdays as a mandatory in-office day.
Responsibilities
- Define the pharmacy operational excellence strategy and execution model aligned with company goals.
- Lead high-priority transformation initiatives from strategy through launch and sustained adoption.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to manage implementation plans and performance monitoring.
- Interpret regulatory and compliance requirements to ensure solutions meet business and legal needs.
- Diagnose complex process or technology friction points and design practical end-to-end solutions.
- Lead governance and executive reporting by synthesizing operational and financial data.
- Build repeatable operating playbooks and process standards to support a scalable PBM model.
- Support capacity planning, budget management, and business-case development for initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare, business operations, strategy, or program leadership.
- 7+ years of experience in Managed Care, PBM, pharmacy operations, or related healthcare payer roles.
- 5+ years leading large-scale, cross-functional strategy or operational transformation initiatives.
- 5+ years partnering with cross-functional teams to set priorities and deliver business outcomes.
- Experience interpreting regulatory or compliance needs into actionable requirements.
- Experience with strategic planning, roadmapping, and change management.
- Experience translating complex data into executive-level insights and recommendations.
- Experience managing budgets, capacity models, or financial performance for initiatives.
Pay and benefits
- Base pay: $162,453.60 – $213,220.35 per year.
