About the role
Axon is seeking a Director of Public Safety to lead strategic initiatives for Axon 911 in the Pacific Region. This position focuses on aligning Axon 911’s solutions with the evolving needs of the public safety community. You will serve as a strategic leader, advisor, and collaborator, working to enhance operational efficiency and position Axon 911 as a thought leader in the sector.
This role is fully remote within a specified territory. Candidates based in the Pacific timezone are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Lead Axon 911’s public safety strategy and strengthen industry partnerships with organizations like NENA and APCO.
- Mentor the Public Safety team and drive key performance indicators, scalability, and long-term growth.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to align solutions with customer needs.
- Gather customer feedback to influence product enhancements and prioritize AI-related initiatives.
- Support market expansion through speaking engagements, workshops, webinars, and strategic go-to-market initiatives.
- Optimize workflows and processes to drive measurable outcomes in customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience in public safety, emergency communications, or PSAP operations.
- Experience serving at the Deputy Director level or above, or an equivalent senior leadership role.
- Deep expertise in PSAP operations, NG911, CAD, and emergency communications workflows.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with PSAP leaders, industry associations, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong strategic leadership experience in driving scalable programs and cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience with executive presentations and consultative sales support.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for on-site client engagement, workshops, and conferences.
Pay and benefits
- Base salary range: USD $108,000.00 to USD $181,750.00, depending on geographic market and experience.
