About the role
Oscar is seeking a Director of Product to lead the Claims Design team. You will report to the Vice President of Product Management and work from the New York City office on a hybrid schedule. This position requires three days in-office per week, with Thursdays as a mandatory in-office day for team events. Your goal is to deliver a fast, accurate, and clear payment experience that sets the standard for the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Claims to improve speed, accuracy, and clarity for members and providers.
- Collaborate with your dyad partner and leaders in operations, finance, legal, and external partnerships to align on priorities.
- Hire and develop a high-performing product team within the healthcare sector.
- Work closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Design to execute on the product vision.
- Partner with leadership to make organizational decisions, motivate teams, and refine cross-functional processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product experience.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare payer or provider technology.
- Subject matter expertise in healthcare billing and claims is a major plus.
- Experience developing talent, coaching, and building processes that elevate performance.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of leadership.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a proven track record of using data to drive decisions.
Pay and benefits
- Base pay: $218,592.00 – $286,902.00 per year.
