About the role
MongoDB is looking for a Director of Brand & Creative Marketing to lead the evolution of its global brand identity. This position focuses on translating complex technical offerings into compelling stories and experiences that drive business outcomes. You will report to the VP of Corporate Marketing and work with peer leaders in Marketing and Product to enhance MongoDB’s market share and mindshare among developer and executive audiences.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Impact: Develop a bold brand strategy that enhances market differentiation and emotional resonance. Translate business priorities into powerful creative concepts and campaigns.
- Creative Leadership: Lead narrative-driven storytelling across digital, video, events, and product experiences. Stay ahead of emerging creative technologies like AI and generative design.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team. Foster a culture of excellence and inclusion where bold ideas thrive.
- Execution: Deliver scalable, high-impact creative campaigns. Manage resources, timelines, and budgets to maximize ROI while ensuring quality and innovation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of design leadership in an external agency and/or internal brand team.
- Experience crafting and operationalizing branding and design systems for B2B, technology/SaaS brands across print, digital, and video.
- Leadership of creative production and execution of large in-person events and marketing campaigns.
- Proven ability to develop successful concepts with a strong creative vision aligned with business objectives.
- Experience recruiting, retaining, and growing a team of diverse, talented creatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, kind team player with an optimistic, enthusiastic attitude.
Pay and benefits
MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is: $0.01—$0.01 USD. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
